The country calling code for Egypt is +20 and it must be entered before calling any number in Egypt from a foreign country. In addition to the international calling code +20 there are several area and calling codes for mobile and landlines.
For landlines there are local calling codes for each Egyptian governorate consisting of one or two digits that must be entered before the 8 or 7 digits landline number. For example the local calling code for the capital Cairo is 2 then any landline must be called with (+20) 2 XXXXXXXX where you enter the 8 digit landline after +202.
